What can I do with my empty Bitsbox box?

What can I do with my empty Bitsbox box?

One of the best parts of Bitsbox is that your kiddo(s) get a physical box in the mail! Nothing beats the excitement of a package addressed to you waiting on the doorstep.

But the fun doesn't stop with the coding projects. Here are 5 awesome things you can do with your empty box once you have raided it of its coding goodies!

1. Create a solar oven

Solar ovens are a fun way to cook your own treats at home this summer! In fact, one library in La Porte, Indiana will be using their boxes to make s'mores in their summer programs!

2. Personalize your box for on-the-go storage

One of my Bitsboxes helps corral the massive washi tape collection I have. It packs away easily and allows me to take my tapes wherever I may want to journal! Try decorating yours with fun paper or fabric to turn it into the perfect storage solution!

3. Make a planter

Summer is here and I am always looking for more places to plant gorgeous flowers. Use your Bitsbox to grow seeds inside in the spring or use as a planter for annuals!

4. Design a diorama

Since Bitsbox lids are attached to the boxes, dioramas are easy to make! Whether you are making one for a class project or just for fun, your boxes can be transformed into a whole new world.

5. Give your cat or other pet a new nap spot!

My cat always decides that the Bitsbox is for him before I can use it for anything else! And what's cuter than a cat in a box?

Whether your cat steals the box from you or you find a creative use for it, your Bitsbox box can be recycled into any number of fun projects.
