After seeing Submerged, we were blown away by the attention to detail: an introduction sequence! A functional shop! Even credits! (Spoiler, Aidan does it all himself).
At 12 years old, Aidan has been coding for three years. And in those three years, he's learned a lot! He's got a favorite stamp: 'ball', which he uses as a "foundational element." He's a master of true and false statements, saying they're in "pretty much every app he's made."
Like any good software engineer, Aidan has some things that get him in the coding zone. "I like to occasionally hum catchy songs, because it makes me more focused for some reason," he says. "Sometimes I play music, but usually I like it quiet to keep me focused. I personally think snap peas are the ideal snack to eat while coding despite the greasiness."
Greasy keyboards certainly aren't slowing Aidan down. For September's app challenge, Aidan built a drawing app, again with a cool intro. We sense an artist's signature developing…
Aidan's advice to new coders? "I would just encourage everyone to play around with functions, because eventually you'll learn how to use them well." He also recommends planning your app a bit before you get going: "I think you have to figure out what kind of app you want to make before you make it. Try to find inspiration from movies or other video games."
We can't wait to see what apps Aidan Productions cooks up next!
